Seven Roanoke Sheriff’s Office Deputies Graduate

Cardinal Criminal Justice Academy held graduation exercises for the 45th Entry Level Jailor/ Court Services Class, Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the Salem Civic Center. Seven Roanoke City Sheriff's Office deputies graduated with the class. Deputy Derick Duffy served as class Chaplain and offered the Invocation and Benediction at the graduation.

The Distinguished Academic Performance Award was presented to Derick Duffy, Robert Feather and Christina Graham. Derick Duffy received the Firearms Marksmanship Award. The Top Overall Graduate, W.D. Lorton - Grover T. Martin Award for Excellence in Training went to Christina Graham. Deputy Graham is one of three women to receive this prestigious award.
