GRANT AWARDED TO ROANOKE CITY SHERIFF’S OFFICE$BlogItemTitle$>
Sheriff Octavia Johnson is pleased to announce that the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office has been awarded a grant of $169,270.00. The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant was awarded to the Sheriff’s Office by the Office of Justice Programs at the Department of Justice.
The funds will be used to upgrade security at the Roanoke City Courthouse and Roanoke City Jail. The upgrades will enhance our ability to respond to threats directed at the building, judiciary, and the courthouse community.
